What’s in a name?
KOHO refers not to salmon — that’s coho — but to a ball game played on this property by early Native Americans. Working closely with the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians, we've learned about this region's rich cultural heritage. Koho, a word native to the Yachats band of Indians -- a subset of the Alsi, or Alsea, tribe -- was a stickball game, similar to field hockey, that was played on this unique property. In tribute to the earliest residents, we've named this neighborhood KOHO.

Terri Homer - KOHO homeownerWhy I chose KOHO
A homeowner's perspective

KOHO offers the magic combination of the most gorgeous setting with easy accessibility to 'downtown' Yachats. Barely out of my front door and I am in the Yachats Beach State Park where the Yachats River empties into the ocean. The large expanse of beach in front of my house shows off its amazing shape shifting magic with the changing tides, appreciated by people and dogs alike!

My home (and every home in the neighborhood) is constructed with the highest quality materials and built with great respect and care to integrate into the gorgeous natural environment we have all around us.

The open, airy feeling of my home, combined with numerous and well-placed windows, take maximum advantage of the breathtaking views of the ocean, beach, trees, sunset, moon rise and stars.

I feel truly blessed and grateful to have found KOHO. I knew the minute I saw it, that I had found my new home!

Michelle Bergeron & Pat Gaunt - KOHO homeownersSimply amazing
A homeowner's perspective

We looked from Cannon Beach to Bandon for a beach home with the following criteria: beachfront, superior quality, newer construction, HOA to take care of outside maintenance, charming town, good restaurants, and plenty of outdoor activities.

Nothing came even close to KOHO's quality and extraordinary setting. Never did we dream of watching the eagles perched in a nearby tree, sea lions playing in the bay, and viewing the July 4th fireworks - all from the comfort of our living room. It is simply amazing.

Linda Johnson - KOHO homeownerI love living here!
A homeowner's perspective

I really, really love it here. This house fits me perfectly and I feel so comfortable knowing everything is new and well-built. Keeping a new home in shape is so much less work than maintaining a home that is older and has weathered the elements for several decades. I am so grateful that you worked with me to make this a reality.

A homeowner's perspective

Yachats is the gem of the Oregon coast, and KOHO is the gem of Yachats!

The stylish contemporary design of the community provides spectacular ocean, river and forest views.Looking at the homes from the beach, the exterior color palette blends beautifully and naturally with the forest backdrop.

David's attention to detail during the construction process has resulted in a flawless home. We are so grateful for the opportunity to live nestled against ocean and forest, forever!
